Pin your lace flat the whole way around the bottom of the t-shirt check it is level, be careful not to stretch the t-shirt fabric or you will get a wiggly bottom to your lace edge.

Sew almost the whole way round but leave the two ends free, you are going to need these to be able to make a neat finish.

Pin the two ends together and mark them, so you know where they match, you are going to make these into a little seam. I used a water erasable marker to mark where they met, you could also use a pin. Turn the lace wrong sides facing and make a little seam (below) stitch just the lace together where you marked them, press flat and trim.

Now re -pin and stitch the small section that was not attached to the t-shirt to complete the bottom edge. Give it a good press the whole way round.

We attached a tiny little left over piece of lace to a pocket as well with a zig-zag stitch, just to add another feature.

Enjoy wearing your t-shirt. We headed off for a pic-nic with the cousins wearing the new creation and feeling fab! Give it a go...
