Sewing machines destined for distant shores, with Tools with a mission.

Recently I was given two sewing machines both Huskqavana ones which are a good make. I have all the machines I need and after spending a bit of time I managed to make one really good one out of the two and had it purring away and back to work again.

I think with a bit more TLC and know how from a proper sewing machine repair expert the more battered of the two could be brought back to life. I was delighted to be able to pass them onto Tools with a Mission (based in Ipswich but they will also collect here in Bury).

These machines after a bit more love will go to help people in a developing country somwhere in the world. You can find out more about this wonderful charity and some of the other tools that they can make use of at this link www.twam.co.uk . Maybe you have a sewing machine that is no longer in use or some tools lurking in your shed or at the back of a cupboard that you could donate. These would go to help someone start a small business or learn a new skill or trade in a vocational school.
